2003-2004 was our tenth year as a Chapter and it was our first year in transition to a
Career Chapter. The year found us deep into cultural outings and lots of fun with our
socials, including dinner theaters, museums and a Renaissance Festival. We changed
from raising money the hard way via a Ways & Means Committee to each member
contributing funds to finance our yearly projects. A homeless Veteran and his family
were chosen as our primary service project which meant SHOPPING. At Founder’s Day,
our project won Best Service Project and netted our coffers a sum of $25.00. We danced
the night away at the Mardi Gras Sweetheart Ball co-chaired by Connie Noble. The year
proved to be an interesting one as we groped our way through our first year as a Career
Chapter, but it also proved to be very entertaining and enlightening.
